An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge......

.......when I first started reading this, I instantly thought the narrator was the one being hung because of how specific he was about the rope and how it was tied to the bridge. I want to know how he could tell what exactly the condemned man was thinking. Maybe it was a familiar look on his face.  How did Peyton not die from the fall off the bridge is what I want to know. You would think that a fall off a bridge would instantly either knock you unconscious or just kill you. Wow! What an ending to this short story. I definitely did not see that coming at all. It is very sad however that he actually did die and end up being hung.

Reading tonight

Well honestly, I didn't really care for the Mark Twain piece. I kind of got lost in the way the one man was talking. He was hard to understand. However, I still was able to keep up with the story itself.  I loved the second story a lot more, "The White Heron". While reading it I could picture everything Sylvia was describing. Hopefully I will like more of the stories we read this quarter.
